About Me
Hello!
I'm Michelle Fagan, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Colorado. With over a decade of experience, I specialize in supporting adults navigating anxiety, trauma, and relationship challenges.
My journey into the field began during an Intro to Psychology class, where something just clicked. For the first time, I found language and understanding for what I had experienced growing up in a complex family system—where emotions were rarely acknowledged and my own experiences of anxiety went unnamed. That realization was life-changing, and it sparked a deep desire to help others make sense of their own experiences, just as I had.
In 2017, I became a Licensed Professional Counselor, and since then, I've been committed to offering others the same sense of empowerment and clarity that first drew me to this work.
While my formal training has been invaluable, some of my most profound insights have come from lived experience. Healing, for me, has happened not only in therapy but also on a yoga mat, immersed in nature, and through an overall holistic approach to wellness. I bring this philosophy into my work with clients, integrating mind, body, and spirit into the therapeutic process.
My goal is to create a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can explore your inner world, sit with your shadows, and begin to build a life that supports your well-being—both inside and outside the therapy room. I believe that healing is possible, and that it looks different for everyone. Together, we’ll find what works for you.
Education
I received my Master of Arts in International Disaster Psychology at University of Denver. I attended Saint Joseph's University for my undergraduate education where I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
Training
I am trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).

Experience
I have worked in a vast array of mental health settings including community mental health centers, non-profit agencies, and most recently in the group and private practice realms. This has granted me the opportunity to work those who identify with varying ages, races, sexual identities, gender identities, and socio-economic statuses.
My Approach
I believe in the healing power of a healthy, safe, and boundaried relationship.
Because of that, It's important that I show up as my authentically human and imperfect self in sessions.
A lot of times, this looks like a healthy dose of compassion, goofiness, and creativity.
My goal is to create a safe and non-judgmental space for you to do the same.
After all, when we can relate human to human, real change happens.

“To heal is to touch with love that which we previously touched with fear.”
